Soon after Simon died his family and friends were given a very strong conviction that they should set up an organization in his memory to provide a legacy for his dream of reaching out to help those in need.  This resulted in the formation of The Simon Poultney Foundation whose aims are contained in the  - "Empowering People in Community" and the Mission and Vision Statements

Note : The logo was designed by Jenny's brother, Anthony Hanmer, and is a representation of the world globe with its axis set at the exact angle.  It contains the letters E P I C being the acronym of the slogan "Empowering People In Community."

The Simon Poultney Foundation is registered with Alberta Corporate Registry as a Non-Profit Private Company and is licensed/registered with Alberta Government Services to operate as a Charitable Organization.  SPF has an application currently in process with the Charities Directorate of Revenue Canada to obtain charitable organization status under the Income Tax Act.
