CONTAINER
FOR ZAMBIA (JANUARY 2010)
For the past couple of years we have
been gathering donated items to be sent to our community development project in
Zambia. We have finally been able to purchase a 40 ft container and have
begun loading it. It is not yet full so we will continue to gather
items until it is full enough to ship; likely very early in
2010.
Some items may also be taken over to Zambia by teams going
to work at the project during the year.
We need to take care that the items that are donated are
suitable for the needs of the people that we will be serving in Zambia. Keep in mind that these people currently
have very little and they live in a simple rural environment so items that we
bring to them must not be too fancy.
Conversely when
giving them used items we do not want those items to be too worn and
shabby.
