Donations
Financial needs are always reality for charitable
organizations. Please visit our Fundraising
page for current requirements.
Please
note: Spending of funds is confined to programs and projects
approved by the Foundation. Each restricted contribution designated
towards such an approved program or project will be used as designated with the
understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or
cannot be completed for any reason determined by the organization, the remaining
restricted contributions will be used where needed most.
There are a number of ways in which you can make donations
:
Cheques made payable to The
Simon Poultney Foundation may be mailed to Box 3099, Spruce Grove, Alberta T7X
3A4
EFT is a safe, secure way to
give automatically on a monthly basis without having to write and mail a monthly
cheque. Once you are enrolled your donation is automatically deducted from your
chequing or savings account. You can cancel your enrollment at any time in
writing. We recommend giving
via EFT because it helps reduce our administrative burden.
To start giving on a
recurring monthly basis via EFT please download the EFT Form, complete it with all the
necessary information and mail it to us.
You will receive written confirmation of receipt of the form and that we
have set up the transaction. A
record of your donation will appear on you bank statement.
Official Tax Receipts for donations by Cheque or EFT will
be mailed in February following the calendar year of the donation.
You can make one-time
donations or set up a monthly recurring donation from your credit card by
visiting www.canadahelps.com , searching for The
Simon Poultney Foundation and following the instructions.
Alternatively please download
our Credit Card
Form, complete it with all the necessary information and mail it to
us. You will receive written confirmation of receipt of the form and that we
have set up the transaction. A
record of your donation will appear on your credit card statement as
“CanadaHelps.org”
Official Tax Receipts will be
issued by CanadaHelps on our behalf for all such donations. One time donations will receive a
receipt immediately. For recurring
donations you can set up a profile with CanadaHelps and receive one receipt at
the end of the calendar year.
Why
do we use CanadaHelps ? Many people these days want to make donations using a
credit card. All credit card transactions incur service fees. If we were to set
up our own credit card processing program the fees we would pay as a single
vendor would be much higher than those charged by CanadaHelps; who receive much
lower fees since they have such high volumes and can pass those on to
us.
We are registered as a Charitable
