Soccer Uniforms Delight Zambian Community League
This afternoon at the end of a an all-day tournament marking the start of the soccer/football season we handed out 12 sets of adult soccer uniforms and 8 sets of youth soccer uniforms (including a ball and a pump) to the local community soccer league teams.
It is hard to describe in words the sheer exuberance of 20 soccer teams and all their supporters as they received these – dancing and shouting with joy – and then proudly posing for the photos. (Unfortunately I was too busy taking photos to video the scene !)
Our very sincere thanks to the Westaskiwin (Alberta, Canada) Soccer Association for their generous donation of these uniforms and to the team – Vinj, Arnold and Dan – from the Wetaskiwin Community Pentecostal Church for bringing all the uniforms over to Zambia.
This has made a huge impact in the community !

New Volunteer Interns for 2013
In Zambia we are very proud of our new group of volunteer interns – Majory, Prudence, Goodson and Cynthia – who are seen here as they completed one month of intense training in Pre-School Education, Life Skills and Adventures Unlimited.
It was a great pleasure to travel to Mpika to see where they had been and to spend time with all involved.
Our sincere thanks to the facilitators – Pastor Siame and his wife, Belinda Chitusa – and all the staff of their Latterrains School in Mpika for all their time and hard work in providing this training. They have made a huge impact in the lives of these young people and set them on a course to being game-changers in our community.

Pastoral Outreach 23 March
This past week-end we were honoured to have Pastor Bob Millman from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Pastor Kalengule Kaoma from Lusaka, Zambia visit our community for three days. Both from Grace Communion International with a long time connection with SPF but this being their first visit.
They are seen here with a group of local pastors and church leaders – 25 in all from 12 different churches – who gathered for a day of fellowship and teaching.
It was a very powerful time and if there had been electricity would have continued long into the night – no one wanted to stop !
